Rylan
This is my soon to be niece (once my sister marries her fiance Brandon). She’s a cute little trouble maker and like any kid her age, loves the camera but only on their terms. [posted from my Flickr]

Finger Length
I told the barber “finger-length on the top”, but apparently she had fingers the size of a small child. I haven’t had a buzz-cut since high school so I thought I better document this haircut for the first time in over 13 years. Good thing it will grow back and that I really don’t care. Pinecones
Carlos blended in so well with this cottage, we had to stop and take some photos. I loved how much texture was going on in just this one side of the house. The wonderful wood and colorful doors and windows. Plus if you know this guy, it’s the rarest sight to see him in shoes other than black low-top skate varietals. If this picture isn’t enough to convince him to wear boots (or ANY other type of shoe) more often, I’m not sure what will. Rugged. [posted from my Flickr]
3 Course Meal
Our friend Michael invited us over for a nice dinner. He asked me to bring my camera to photograph the food for him. It was a delicious meal and I look forward to more of these impromptu dinner parties. Costa Concordia
According to this news story, the Italian ship that I took a cruise on back in 2009 capsized over the weekend. This is what it looked like above water. It’s crazy to imagine a ship this big, half sunken under water, but there it is. We did a crazy evacuation drill on the second day of the cruise where the entire ship had to go out onto the decks and line up. The whole time I was just thinking about getting it over with so I could get on with my vacation. I hope these people paid more attention, because water evacuations are real. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2086831/Costa-Concordia-… [posted from my Flickr]
Matthew Jacob
It’s this dudes birthday today. If he hadn’t gone and taken a job in the great white north (Montreal), we most likely would be out at some bar in Dallas right now, taking shots and making toasts. Instead I’m at my house watching Netflix and eating cheese. Thanks Matt & Happy Birthday! If this picture looks familiar it’s the same place, just two years later than this (one of my all time favorite photos I’ve taken of Matt): www.flickr.com/photos/lopiccolo/2982128994 [posted from my Flickr]
The trailer for Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom has been released.
Check it out over at Apple or just click the poster above.
Fuck. Yes.
There’s really nothing else to say. Fuck. Yes.
Brighton Peer
It’s always cold as shit whenever I visit Brighton Peer. I’d love to see this place in the summer time, seeing the shoreline covered with British sun bathers and people walking around in sunglasses and shorts, rather than scarves and jackets. The reality that a beach town can get so cold is such a foriegn idea to me, growing up on the west coast where even in the winter you can enjoy the beach like it’s the summer. [posted from my Flickr]
Forester Matt
My favorite portrait I took of Matt in S. Lake Tahoe. Sometimes all you need is a tree. Strobe: 580 EXII in an Orbis ring flash, fired with an off-camera shoe cord.. [posted from my Flickr]
Big Trees & Matt
While up in Tahoe last weekend for NYE, Matt and I finally had a chance to take some photos in a forest. We had always been searching for a good location here in Texas, but never found one. In Tahoe you are surrounded by forests so we couldn’t pass up the chance. This is my bid for an Urban Outfitters catalog photo spread.
