Owakudani is an area around Mt. Hakone where sulfurous fumes, hot springs and hot rivers can be experienced because of the volcanic history of the region. The destinations in and around the Hakone area are beautiful and there is so much to see. We spent an entire day exploring: from the heights of Odawara Castle, to the shores of Lake Ashi.
